Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true. Joshua 21:45 (NLT)
Because of the way we’re wired, waiting in expectation for anything too long can frustrate us. Sometimes, our frustration isn’t just limited to people, but we can develop frustration with God in waiting on His promises to manifest in our lives. But, God has not designed the waiting process to frustrate us, but He has designed it to refine us. In the refining process, God builds our character, develops our patience, and increases our trust and reliance on Him. Each trait is necessary, in that, He’s teaching us to trust His sovereignty while humbling us to recognize and acknowledge His work in our lives. Only through development of these traits will we understand that when the Lord conveys a promise, He is sure to deliver in His perfect timing! As consolation, we have assurance in knowing that every promise He has spoken over our lives will come true! Therefore, we must learn to wait expectantly! I’m waiting! Are you?
